The fabric of the band cincture, which is suitable for both Roman and Anglican clerical cassocks, is 100% thick matte polyester. This easy-care material can be machine washed cold and tumble dried on low heat. If pressing is required, a polyester setting works well. The band is securely fastened with a 4-inch square Velcro closure, allowing for up to 2 inches of adjustability in the waist fit.
Worn at the formal waist, the broad band cincture adds a trim, finished look to the modern ecclesiastical robe. Similar to how a cummerbund completes the tuxedo ensemble, the cincture finishes the cassock, an official clerical garment. Measuring 3.8 inches wide and worn at the natural waist, the straight, horizontal line of the cincture results in a slimming appearance. The vertical lines of the fall complement the pleats and folds of the alb, further enhancing the slimming definition.
To determine the appropriate size, customers should measure their abdominal girth at the navel and select the corresponding size in the provided options. Please note that the cincture is available for purchase separately from the cassock.
